General Structure

 

Council:
The Council is the highest governing body of the ECCSA composed of representatives of Regional Chambers of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, City Chambers of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, Chamber of National Sectoral Association and direct members of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations which are organized at national level. The council elects board members, the President and the Vice President from among its members.

 

Board of Directors and President:
The Board of Directors is composed of 11 members including the President and Vice President elected for two years term. The President oversees all activities of the Chamber and chairs council and board meetings. The Vice President acts on behalf of the president when the president is not around.

 

Secretary General:
Appointed by the Board, the Secretary General is responsible for managing and directing the day-to-day activities of the Chamber. The Secretary General is supported by the secretariat.

 
Organizational Structure:
ECCSA is currently organized in four departments and two services:
  • Trade Promotion and Advocacy Service Department;
  • Business Development and Support Service Department;
  • Public Relations and International Affairs Department;  
  • Administration and Finance Department;
  • Legal Service; and
  • Audit Service.
Infrastructure
The Ethiopia Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, located conveniently at Mexico Square, offer a modern assembly hall with a sitting capacity of more than 200 participants. The hall is equipped with microphones, amplifiers, and a motion picture projector. A syndicate rooms for smaller groups of 30 persons is also available.
